Funktion
Første stop er sys.dm_exec_describe_first_result_set_for_object
system dynamisk styringsfunktion.
Denne funktion tager en @object_id
som en parameter og beskriver de første resultatmetadata for modulet med det pågældende ID.
Den kan bruges på lagrede procedurer og triggere.
Her er et eksempel til at demonstrere. I dette tilfælde bruger jeg OBJECT_ID()
funktion til at returnere ID'et for den lagrede procedure (hvilket sparer mig fra at skulle kende det faktiske ID).

OPENROWSET
med en midlertidig tabel
En anden mulighed er at konstruere en forespørgsel, der placerer de øverste nulresultater af et OPENROWSET
forespørg ind i en midlertidig tabel, og brug derefter en procedure som sp_columns
for at returnere kolonneoplysninger om den midlertidige tabel (som indeholder data fra vores resultatsæt).
Dette vil derfor give detaljer, såsom kolonnenavne, datatyper osv.
